Manganese deficiency (Mn)
Manganese deficiency will cause yellowing of older leaves, progressing to intercostal chloroses with necrotic tissue. Growth is retarded, and the plant looks “puny”. A lack of manganese is often associated with soil compaction: deficiency symptoms first show between machinery tracks.
As the availability of manganese is determined by the soil’s pH-value, it is advisable to use foliar application. EPSO Microtop® is the most effective method for supplying manganese to rapeseed cultures.
