Magnesium in Plant Nutrition
Five Key Facts You Need to Know About this Mineral Nutrient
Update: This webinar is already finished.
Magnesium is required for a range of plant functions which are directly linked to production, transportation and utilization of photoassimilates as well as mitigation of stress factors in plants such as heat and high radiation stress. Thus, a good magnesium nutrition plays a very positive role on plant tolerance to climate change-linked stress. Magnesium is also required to store and transfer energy in cells. All these major effects of magnesium ultimately affect crop productivity and quality. However, magnesium is rarely considered in soil and plant tests and fertilization programs.
In this webinar, Prof. Ismail Cakmak will talk about the most important facts and knowledge related to the roles of magnesium in crop plants.
